Scatter graphs

Scatter graphs compare the relationship between two variables, and this relationship may be of different types – a linear relationship (i.e. the points lie on a line), a non-linear relationship (the relationship maybe in the form of a curve), or a clustered relationship (where the data points are in some distinct groups).

A scatter graph is also called a scatter plot, scattergram or a scatter diagram.
